A Message From The President
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Prior to an introduction, I would like to thank our past President Jeffrey D. Robinson, CFI, for his past 2 terms. I would like to personally thank him for his continued dedication of leadership and bringing back our now thriving bi-annual lunch and learns to include more then doubling our chapter’s membership.
I would now like to welcome everyone to the NVIAAI website. We are a group of individuals dedicated to investigating the cause of fires and educating the public regarding the crime of Arson. Membership in our organization consists of a variety of professionals, including, but not limited to, public and private investigators employed by: Police, Fire, State Fire Marshal’s Office, Insurance Companies, Law Offices, NICB, Utility Industries and Engineering Firms. We all have a common interest in the investigation of fires and the fight against those who set them.
Our organization conducts bi-annual meetings for the membership that include training and update pertinent to our industry. Membership in NVIAAI provides many excellent fire investigation training opportunities along with the ability to network with other professionals in the field and related fields. If you are involved directly or indirectly with fire investigations, I encourage you to consider joining NVIAAI. We welcome new members to bring new perspectives and energy to our organization.
Training is a top priority of our organization. We are hosting a National Training Conference in April 2014. The event typically draws approximately 500 attendees that receive quality education on a variety of subjects. We also intend to sponsor more, one or two day training classes. I would like to challenge all of our membership to become certified as an IAAI-FIT, IAAI-CFI, or IAAI-CFII.
In closing, I want to thank everyone in advance for the work that they have already accomplished. I am looking forward to a rewarding 2013 and 2014.
Stay Safe.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey W. Lomprey, IAAI-CFI
President, Nevada Chapter IAAI
